The MegaCity Chorus is always looking for new members. If you are a male who enjoys singing in a group that is focused on excellence then we encourage you to come out to Lawrence Park Community Church on a Tuesday night to hear the chorus. At that time you will be introduced to our membership person who will be your guide to our orientation program.

The program is designed to help you determine if the MegaCity Chorus is the right singing group for you. It will provide you with background information on the Chorus and the Barbershop Harmony Society. After you have been through the program and you have decided that you would like to try out for the chorus then you will start the audition process.

The audition process is fairly simple. At first our director will want to hear you sing. He will take you through a couple of excercises to determine your range and vocal quality. Then he will let you know what voice part he would like you to sing. Next you will be given a couple of songs to learn and assigned a "buddy" who will help to guide you through the next few weeks.

When you have learned your songs you will record yourself on the risers singing with the chorus. Our Chorus director will review the recordings and provide you with feedback. He may ask you to work on some elements of your singing. In that case you will be given the opportunity to rerecord your songs and submit them again. If he likes what he hears then you will have passed the audition.
